Tip of the day: WALK THE TALK, NOW!!!
How was your night? How was your weekend? I sincerely hope it was restful, joyful, and recharging. Unfortunately, mine was crap! Well, not really. I am melodramatic, so let’s nuance it and say it was ‘crappy,’ and it could have been ten times worst, so I grateful. Care to hear my story? Be advised; it is pure catharsis.
When we started this journey, I committed to writing you a daily mail until we got back to normal, better said, the new normal. We are moving fast into this new phase, but we are not there yet. However, it is time for me to put my money where my mouth is and act accordingly. From the onset, I have been encouraging you to ‘take a break before you break’; to use the many kinds of leave available to us, even if it was not an ideal time or you could not reach your preferred destination. Now it is time for me to do the same!
Thanks to Saint Ryan, also known as Dr. Ryan, I have been tested for Malaria, Typhoid, and COVID-19. Every test came back negative, but the symptoms have only complicated. Further analyses suggest that I have a blood infection -likely coming from invisible but starving, bug pets comfortably established in my mattress. The jury is still out, but in the meantime, I am ‘enjoying’ all those ‘lovely tag-along’ symptoms you get for free when you get a respectable infection. Now you know why my weekend was crappy and also why this will be my last GMN until I fully recover.
Apologies for the inconvenience, but I would not be honest advising you to do something and doing something entirely different when facing the dilemma myself. I still believe that behind every challenge, there is an opportunity. Perhaps one -or several- of you, would like to take my place until I back on my saddle. If so, please send me a line, and I will share the mailing list.
Remember that work will never end, but if you don’t manage it well, work will end with you!
In the meantime, maybe because I am high already and still seeing little benefits, at this moment, all I want is A NEW DRUG, and if I can have Huey Lewis and the News asking for it, what can go wrong?
Take care, and stay safe. Enjoy the wonderful week we have ahead of us.
